Frequently Asked Dental Questions – Albuquerque, NM

Learn More about Holistic Dental Care

Because we approach dentistry a little differently than most dental offices, it is completely understandable if you have questions about what we do and how we do it. Below, you will find answers to some FAQs that our patients and potential patients often ask. If you don’t see the answer to your specific questions or you would like further explanation on anything you read, give us a call. We look forward to sharing our knowledge!

What Exactly Is Holistic Dentistry?

Holistic dentists focus on whole-body wellness, so they are extremely picky about the materials and techniques they use. For example, they do not use mercury, and they try to be as conservative as possible when recommending treatments. Advanced technology and education are cornerstones of holistic dental offices.

What Makes Your Dental Office Stand Out?

In addition to our holistic focus, we see only one patient at a time, so you receive 100% of our attention. Our patients love that we take plenty of time to answer their questions and educate them about their oral health.

Do You Offer Mercury Removal?

Yes! Mercury is a toxic substance, and if you are not comfortable with having it in your mouth, we are ready to help you. We apply SMART mercury removal protocols to minimize your exposure to mercury vapors during the removal process.

Do I Really Need Fluoride to Have a Healthy Smile?

Many dentists push fluoride as a sort of “miracle mineral,” but not us. We do not offer fluoride treatments because we recognize that is it not necessary for oral health.

Do You Treat Dental Emergencies?

Yes. If you are ever in urgent need of dental care, give us a call. If you are an existing patient, you may even have our personal cell numbers; feel free to contact us even if it is outside of our normal dental office hours. We strive to see emergency patients ASAP.

Do You Take Insurance?

It would be inaccurate to say that we “take” dental insurance because we don’t participate in any insurance networks. However, we’ll be happy to help you file your claims for PPO policies.

What Types of Technology Are Featured in Your Dental Office?

We have several types of advanced technology, including DiagnoDent early cavity detection, CEREC one-visit dental restorations, mercury vapor detection, and more.
